Medis marks important milestones – 30/2015

Gearing up for a highly productive year ahead, the team at Medis celebrated an extra dimension to its annual Kick-off event this year. Throughout 2015, the company is marking its 30th anniversary – three decades of service and expertise in the generics sector.

In January, staff gathered in Reykjavik, Iceland, preparing to build on the success of the past year and take 2015 by storm. They were joined by senior Actavis personnel from the US and Europe. The Kick-off commenced in the beautiful Harpa concert hall, its dramatic glass façade providing an inspiring window onto the ocean, mountains and city.

After tracking the progress of Medis in 2014, the spotlight shifted onto parent company Actavis, before a lively Q&A session. A review of Medis “Past, Present and Future” explored advances in the sector, as well as highlights from Medis’ 30-year history and the launch of a new look for ‘www.medis.is’. Happiness in the work environment was the subject of the afternoon workshop, and later, with plenty of smiles all round, staff and guests moved on to one of Reykjavik’s most iconic venues ‘Idno’ for a memorable 30th birthday reception.

The 2015 Kick-off continued over the next couple of days, with lectures and workshops at Medis HQ in Iceland. All in all, a highly productive week, wrapped up nicely with a further anniversary party thrown by Medis staff, a celebration that has already been given its place in the Medis history books!
