MADRID, 13 October 2015: Medis and Generics bulletin are pleased to announce that Medis has won the Business Development of the Year Award at the Global Generics & Biosimilars Awards 2015, organised by Generics bulletin. The Business Development of the Year Award was sponsored by Ark Patent Intelligence and judged by an expert panel.
Now in their second year, the Awards ceremony was held at the Palacio Municipal de Congresos, Feria de Madrid, Spain in relation to the 2015 CPhI Worldwide which opened in Madrid on the same date.
Medis had also been nominated for three other Awards; Company of the Year, Company of the Year – EMEA, and Leader of the Year.
Medis CEO, Valur Ragnarsson, accepted the Award on our behalf and was accompanied by Hildur Ragnars, VP Supply Chain, and Stefan Thor Stefansson, Director Launch Coordination & Outsourced Supply. In his acceptance speech, Mr. Ragnarsson gave thanks to all our colleagues, to our supporting partners in Actavis, as well as to all of our customers who have put their trust in our hands over the years. It was especially great to receive the Award this year, as Medis celebrates its 30th Anniversary in 2015.
It was also a pleasure to have Actavis win the IP Litigation of the Year Award at that same occasion. Pictured above are the Medis and Actavis teams at the Awards ceremony in Madrid.
The Global Generics & Biosimilars Awards 2015 rewards ‘best practice’ in the two sectors, while at the same time encouraging improvements in every aspect of the way business is conducted. Every Award effectively underscores the efforts made by the global generics and biosimilars sectors to make more affordable medicines available to more people everywhere.
